Apparently Dominos is open during the hurricane
When I woke up this morning I asked myself:
“What are some of the secrets of success in life?”
I found the answer right there in my very room:
The fan said : Be cool.
The roof said : Aim high.
The window said : See the world.
The clock said : Every minute is precious.
The mirror said : Reflect before you act.
The door said : Push hard for your goals.
And finally, the carpet said : Kneel down and pray.
When you listen to music, the love songs make you feel lonely, make you yearn for love and crave affection. When you read Quran, you feel whole, you’re not seeking love because you’ve found it all around you, you’ve found it inside you, and you’re not craving anyone’s affection because you only want to be accepted by One. Don’t give into the worldly delusions.
UK-based artist Susan Stockwell recently completed this gigantic world map made from recycled computer components for the University of Bedfordshire. Entitled World, the piece has been in progress since 2010 and uses motherboards, electrical wiring, fans, and myriad other components donated by Secure IT Recycling. Although Stockwell has worked with electronic components for additional projects, her work with paper is also extraordinary and has been making the rounds quite a bit.
|It is mentioned that when al-Hafidh Ibn Hajr was the chief justice (of Egypt), one day he was passing through the market with a caravan, looking well groomed. So a Jew who was selling hot oil, looking very disheveled and dirty because of the oil, accosted him by grabbing the reins of his mule saying,|
|Jew:||“Yaa Shaykhul-Islaam, you claim that your prophet said that the dunyaa is a prison for the mu’min and a jannah for the kaafir; so what type of prison are you in and what type of jannah am I in?“|
|Ibn Hajr:||“Regarding what Allah has prepared for me in the hereafter from its bliss, then it is as if I am in prison, and with regards to what Allah has prepared for you in the hereafter from its punishment, then it is as if you are in jannah.”||At which point the Jew became a Muslim.|
